In marriage, we must not be too proud, timid or fearful but be free to let our spouses know we need them but none should take the other for granted either.
“He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.” – Song of Solomon 2: 4-6
“Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” – 1Corinthians 7: 3-5
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2Timothy 1: 7
