Marriage is a social, legal and spiritual union between a man and a woman to create kinship that is usually celebrated as a ceremony and involves sexual intimacy.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” – Genesis 2: 23-25
“The wife is bound by law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.” – 1 Corinthians 7: 39
