THE HIDDEN BIBLE – A UNIQUE TESTIMONY:
Ade (not real name) has been praying for some time now seeking the face of God for divine guidance in the crucial choice of a life partner. He is a bit apprehensive because of some stories flying around of some ladies who after wasting a great deal of their lives messing around suddenly turning around to join some Christian groups desperate to marry a Godly man as husband. So, he continued to pray and look up to God for help.
Ade decided he wasn’t going to just assume or be presumptuous about this matter but that God would have to speak to him in a crystal clear way to guide his choice.
One day, he bought a new Bible and on returning home threw it under the bed in his one-room apartment and prayed. He told God that whoever he would marry must fish out that Bible from under his bed. Not only that, he prayed also that the choice lady must be beaten by rain and cook for him but not eat out of the meal the day she comes to fish out the hidden Bible.
One day, after several months had passed and Ade had even forgotten his prayer and conditions to God. Sade (not real name) was returning from work when it suddenly started to rain. She was already half-beaten by the rain when she remembered that Ade, a brother in church lived close by and decided to stop by briefly and be sheltered from the rain.
Ade welcomed her warmly as a good Christian brother. After a short while, Sade saw he was trying to prepare a meal and offered to help out. Ade was reluctant at first but eventually accepted her offer of assistance. Sade finished cooking and also helped him tidy up his room.
It was while sweeping the room that she discovered the Bible under the bed. She brought it out and asked in surprise if Ade forgot it there? She dusted off the Bible, placed it on the table and dashed out almost immediately without accepting Ade’s offer of dinner because she was already late to go home and her parents would be worried about her. There and then, looking at the Bible on the table Ade remembered his conditional prayer to God regarding guiding his choice of a marriage partner. God is awesome, isn’t He?
Afterwards, Ade proposed marriage to Sade and she accepted his proposal, they courted for a while and married happily thereafter. God works in mysterious ways His wonders to perform. Can anyone doubt really that Ade and Sade were meant for each other? Many are only playing games with God these days and so fail but really, sincere prayers always get sincere answers from God.
