A husband should be a prophet, priest and pastor to his household. As prophet, he should guide members of his family with the word of God. As priest, he should pray for them and as pastor, care for them.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” – Ephesians 5: 25-27
“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” – 1Timothy 5: 8
